The Break Up: Unsure

I think about what life would be like
Wrapped up in your arms
What your grasp would mean
In the mornings smile
And under the moons hollowed face
What 80 years of wrinkles and familiar smells
Would feel like.
I see
Calloused bones and brittle fingertips,
Pointing towards an absolution
And bliss.
But underneath eyelids
And even deeper than that,
Lies truth and hidden meaning.
Does love survive?
Can it?
In a world of chaos and players
Criminals and
Con artists.
I try to stay pure and sweet,
Or at least I think about it.
But does something darker lurk beneath this
Skin and this
Face?
What is humanity?
What is real?
Everyone is obscure
Nothing exists.
